5 Ways You Can Grow Your Business on LinkedIn (Part 1)
Social media has become an amazing tool to grow your business, especially LinkedIn.
Of course, every social media platform is good. But I will talk about LinkedIn for today’s episode.
LinkedIn is one of the fastest ways to build a wider network without spending above your marketing budget.
I have leveraged LinkedIn to grow my email lists to about 14000 subscribers. That means I connect with over 14000 entrepreneurs daily. I did this without spending over the budget.
Many entrepreneurs still struggle with leveraging social media platforms for their businesses. They spend heavily on social media marketing with little or no results.
Growing your business with LinkedIn entails a strategic approach. If you are not using the right strategy, you will end up spending more time with fewer results.
So how can you leverage social media to grow your business in 2022?
Here are 5 ways you can grow your business on LinkedIn:
Create relatable content
Content is king! It builds your identity. If you are looking to build your business; you need an identity. You need people to align with your identity. And the only way to achieve this is to create relatable content.
As an entrepreneur, create content that helps other entrepreneurs. Share content that solves entrepreneurship problems. Entrepreneurs will align with your brand.
Your content strategy should include 70 percent of your goal and 30 percent of personal lifestyle, health, politics, etc.
Engage with your audience
Your audience is your strength. Engage with them in the comment section. Send them messages like: “Thank you, Steven, for engaging my post. How are you coping with your competitors?”
Note: the question must align with the engaged post.
It helps to build relationships. And business thrives faster on relationships.
Send them a warm message
Make it a habit to message your new connection. No pitching. Just a friendly message to make them feel comfortable. Offer to help them in most cases. Don’t go to people’s inboxes sending them messages about your business. I did in the past and it burned me.
Instead, message them. Offer them freebies like a free webinar, free book, and free materials that can help their business goals. I often share my free webinar with my connection. I teach them how to get over $200k grants. You can join here too. I also offer them my book on how to build their business and become a pioneer.
Build a network of like-minded people
Start building your network with like-minded people. They are your ideal audience. They understand your business already. They just need help. Position yourself as a thought leader in that space to convert them to your clients. If you don’t have what makes you different from them; you are wasting your time. Nobody will come to you. People come to you for the extra you have. This will help you build a network of like-minded people.
Share your testimonials
Your testimonials are your social proof. Flaunt them on your page. Show the people. People believe more when they see. They trust more. They decide faster based on what they see. Get testimonials from your clients. You will need it to build your identity.
